Uncle kilometer measures longer distances.

He measures one thousand time the length of a meter.

Uncle kilo probably knows your country better than anyone else in my family.

You see, we're French. Our family dates back to 1790. But, now we're spread all over the world.

Here we are at the metric family picnic and there are the volts. They measure electric power.

And there's the joules - tera, giga, mega, kilo, nano, and joule. They measure work or energy.

Over by the tree is the gram family -- gram ma, gram pa -- just kidding. The grams measure mass.

Now meet the moles who measure amount of substance.
