  1. Informally warmup with a show and tell of prisms and cones.
     
  2. Compute the volume of a prism, a pyramid, a cylinder, and a cone suggested by students using material on the web and in an area spreadsheet.
     
  3. Compute the volume of a 5 cm by 4 cm by 12 cm prism.
     
  4. Compute the volume of rectangular pyramid that is 5 cm by 4 cm by 12 cm heigh.

     
  5. Compute the surface area of a 5 cm by 4 cm by 12 cm prism using the area spreadsheet.

     
  6. Compute the volume of a cylinder that has a height of 8 cm and a radius of 4 cm.
     
  7. Compute the surface area of a cylinder that has a height of 8 cm and a radius of 4 cm by 12 cm using the area spreadsheet.

     
  8. Debrief through an hands on individual show and tell
     
  9. Learn of homework.
