IN MATH: 1. n. a line segment having endpoints which are points of a circle. EX. If the chord contains the center of the circle, it is called a diameter.

IN ENGLISH: 1. n. a rope, or wire use as one might use a rope or string. 2. n. in music, three or more notes played at one time. 3. as defined above.
