built-in function

IN MATH: 1. adj. already constructed or provided as a part of the existing equipment; ready for use. EX. The calculator has built-in calculus functions including integration, differentiation, and finding intercepts.

IN ENGLISH: 1. similar to that defined above. EX. The house came with a built-in pool and sauna as well as a TV dish and central air.
